Noah Chinitz MD
Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgeon
Dr. Chinitz is a native of New Rochelle, NY. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a major in Computer Science Engineering and worked for Goldman Sachs. He obtained a post-baccalaureate at Columbia University, and he was awarded his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
Dr. Chinitz completed his internship in general surgery and his residency in orthopaedic surgery at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Medical Center. There he had intensive training in adult joint reconstruction, knee and shoulder arthroscopy, pediatric orthopaedics, orthopaedic trauma and sports medicine, as well as the non-operative and operative management of disorders of the hip, knee, shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand.
Subsequently, Dr. Chinitz completed an additional year of fellowship training in orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. There he gained expertise in the treatment of the entire foot and ankle, as well as in gait analysis. He has an interest in running medicine.
His treatment of the forefoot includes extensive experience in forefoot reconstruction, bunions, hammertoes, neuromas, Metatarsalgia and revision surgery. His experience with hind foot includes treatment of arthritis (primary and post-traumatic), deformity, congenital abnormalities, coalitions, flatfoot and high-arched feet, and heel pain. His experience with the ankle includes treatment of arthritis (primary and post-traumatic), with expertise in total ankle replacement and ankle fusion. In addition, Dr. Chinitz treats ankle deformity, tendonitis, cartilage lesions, instability, Achilles tendonitis and Achilles ruptures. Dr. Chinitz also treats fractures within the entire foot and ankle, such as ankle fractures, pilons, navicular, talus and calcaneus.
Dr. Chinitz is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. He is affiliated with White Plains Hospital, Greenwich Hospital and the Rye Ambulatory Surgery Center.
